The Pastoral Care program was placed under
the supervision and facilitation of the Stephen Ministry by the Session
of Hope Presbyterian Church.
These “Programs of Hope” include:
- Communion
to sick and shut-in members by Elders who are trained to administer
the elements of the Lord’s Supper.
- Receptions for family
and friends following funerals and Celebrations of Life.
- Casseroles for families in need of temporary help due to illness,
accidents, childbirth, or death.
- Baby Baskets, supplied by Circle IV,
for all of our newborns.
- Helping Hands, a ministry of minor
home repairs or household help in times of emergency.
- Refuge
of Hope, the opening of our Friendship Hall to members and friends
in times of hurricanes, floods, and other disasters.
- Prayer
Group of Hope, which meets each Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. and
is open to everyone who would like to attend.
While overseen by the Stephen Ministry,
these programs are faithfully serviced by other members of the congregation.
We are indebted to them for their faithfulness and the love they
share.
Information from the Presbytery of Tampa Bay’s Parish
Nurse Program is also shared through this ministry.
